Building Bridges for Autism, LLC is partnering with local businesses and individuals to provide scholarships for Social Skills Classes and Individual/Family Consulting for those who demonstrate the financial need.  Building Bridges for Autism, LLC maintains a waiting list of eligible scholarship applicants and directly matches eligible recipients with scholarship funds provided by donors.  Donor funds go dollar-for-dollar towards each child's scholarship!

Local businesses and individuals who donate to the program provide direct funding for a scholarship for an eligible child.  Donors receive written acknowledgment directly from the scholarship recipient's family at the time the award is granted.
Donors also receive recognition for sponsoring a child through print advertising space and/or media advertising time which has been donated by advertising agencies who have donated space/time to help The Building Bridges for Autism Sponsor-a-Child Programsm.

Scholarship applicants are qualified according to the criteria stated in the scholarship applications found at the links above.

The applicant’s combined total adjusted gross household income must not exceed the “Low (80%) Income Limit” for the current fiscal year as established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  For example, for a family of 4 residing in Pima County, AZ, the total adjusted gross household income cannot exceed $47,200.  Higher income limits are available for larger families and/or families residing in other counties within the State of Arizona.

Since Building Bridges for Autism, LLC is not a tax-exempt organization under IRS section 501(c)(3), donations made to this program are not tax-deductible.  However, every single dollar donated goes directly to provide Social Skills Classes or Individual/Family Consulting services to an eligible child.  This is a significant difference in terms of the "power" of a donor's dollars as compared to a donation made to a tax-exempt organization.  The vast majority of funds donated to tax-exempt organizations typically goes towards covering staff salaries, advertising, rent, and other business carrying costs; very little of the money donated actually reaches the person in need.  With The Building Bridges for Autism Sponsor-a-Child Program, every single dollar donated provides direct funding for services for a child with autism in need.

Donation options:

(1) Donate any amount ($1, $5, $10, $25, $50 or more) and have your donation pooled with other funds to create Scholarships for both one hour and two hour Social Skills Classes (6 week sessions) as well as multi-appointment pack Scholarships for Individual/Family Consulting (typically awarded as a package of five free 60 minute consultation appointments).  (Note:  You may also purchase gift cards in any amount to provide as a gift for a family member or friend.)

(2) Donate $225 to create a Scholarship for five free 60 minute consultation appointments in your or your business' name.

(3) Donate $275 and have a one hour format 6 week Social Skills Class session Scholarship created in your or your business' name.

(4) Donate $550 and have a two hour format 6 week Social Skills Class session Scholarship created in your or your business' name.

Donor benefits:

We greatly appreciate any and all donations made to the program.  While it is not possible to individually recognize all donors who contribute amounts less than $225 and whose funds are collectively "pooled" to provide a Scholarship for an eligible individual, all donations are greatly appreciated and go directly towards helping a child with autism.

For larger donations ($225 or more):

  • The Scholarship will be named in accordance with the donor's wishes to recognize their business, a family member or themselves.
  • The donor will receive written acknowledgment directly from the scholarship recipient's family at the time the award is granted.
  • Donors receive recognition for sponsoring a child through print advertising space and/or media advertising time which has been donated by advertising agencies who have donated space/time to help The Building Bridges for Autism Sponsor-a-Child Programsm.
  • Scholarships are advertised on the Building Bridges for Autism web site along with a link to the donor’s web site.

Please call (520) 209-2501 with questions or to make a donation to the program.
